Service Descriptions
A Pet Sit is a 20-30 minute visit that may include but is not limited to feeding, freshening water, walking, back yard potty time, play time, cat sitting, scooping litter, medicating, and tons of kisses and snuggles. I will also take care of household duties like checking the mail, bringing in the newspaper, rotating the lights morning and night, watering plants, and taking the garbage cans to the street and back. An activity log is provided with details of each visit.
A pet sit is $24-26 depending on the amount of work/time involved.

A Potty break is a 10-15 minute visit that can be chosen for several reasons . Maybe the only purpose of the visit is to let the pups out for a quick potty. Do you have a very shy kitty who probably won't come out for any attention and won't require 30 minutes of company? Then a potty break might be the perfect service for you! A potty break is $22.00.

A Potty/Walk is also a 10-15 minute visit except this is for dogs who need to go for a short walk to potty. Maybe your furry babies just need to explore for a minute before going potty or maybe you don't have a fenced in yard or live in an apartment. A potty walk is $22.00.

Plant care is provided within a pet sit but you can also choose this service if you don't have any pets for us to care for. Do you have a vegetable garden or potted plants around the house that need watering during your vacation? We have you covered! Just choose plant care visits for $20.00 (individual pricing depends on the work/time involved).

Standard Policies and Procedures
I will use my best judgment in caring for your pet(s) and home.

If you would like me to gain access to your home using a key, I will require that you provide me with one key.

If I am to gain access to your home through a garage door code pad or other electronic system, I request a copy of a house key as well. This is to ensure that I am able to access your home in the event of an emergency (non-functioning keypad, power failure). If a key is not provided, if you cannot be reached and if your emergency contact cannot provide me access, then a locksmith will be contacted at your expense.

I will not permit your dog(s) to interact with unknown dogs. If stray dogs that are off leash approach, I will do my best to keep interaction at a minimum and move away from them. I am responsible to your dog(s) and your dog(s) only, and will take every measure to protect them; including but not limited to force against other aggressive dog(s).

Please provide me with any changes regarding your pets' care and other pertinent information.

For both of our benefits, please notify your security company that a representative of The Pet Nanny will be on your premises during your scheduled absence.

You have hired The Pet Nanny to be responsible for your pet(s) and home. I will make basic decisions regarding your pet(s) and home. However, I will contact you if something arises which I feel needs your attention.

Please inform me of any behavioral issues or personality traits of your pet(s). This might include but is not limited to: escape artists, diggers, chewers, wanderers, coprophagia (eating of feces), cats with hairball problems.

It is important to let me know if you have an ill animal, or one that is susceptible to becoming ill. Remember, I see many animals in a day. I take measures to reduce the chances of carrying illnesses from one home to another, but you can see where it would be helpful to have that information.

It is common for me to turn on a tv or radio near where your pet(s) are kept while you are out of town. Familiar sounds can help keep your pet(s) calm as well as drown outside noises out. If this is an issue, please let me know ahead of time.

There is a three visit a day minimum for dogs while you are out of town. The only exception to this is dogs who use pee pads or those who have access to a dog door.

Service Agreement
I authorize The Pet Nanny to perform pet care services as outlined in my Client Profile and Pet Profiles, which shall become part of this contract.

I authorize The Pet Nanny to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my pet. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorize The Pet Nanny to utilize an alternative veterinarian in the event my primary veterinarian is unavailable. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care.

I agree to reimburse The Pet Nanny for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

It is my sole responsibility as the pet owner to pet-proof any areas of the home and/or property to which my pets have access. This includes thoroughly inspecting fences, gates, latches, doors and other devices meant to contain my pets or restrict access to specific areas. The Pet Nanny does not assume responsibility and has no liability for any injuries my pets may sustain or property damage my pets may cause while in their own home/property.

The Pet Nanny will not be responsible for free-roaming or outdoor pets in the event of illness, injury, loss or death. It is strongly advised that all pets remain inside the home for their own safety and welfare in my absence. However, if I instruct The Pet Nanny to leave my pets outside unsupervised or to allow them use of a doggy door, even if in a securely fenced yard, I accept all liability for any injury, disappearance, death, or fines resulting in said unsupervised access to the outdoors.

The Pet Nanny will not be liable for the health or welfare of any pet that remains in hiding for the duration of the visit. However, The Pet Nanny will, to the best of her ability, attempt to locate the pet and assess it's condition.

I will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to The Pet Nanny or other persons by my pet. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Pet Nanny in the event of a claim by any person injured by my pet.

If my absence must be extended, The Pet Nanny requires direct confirmation (not a phone message or email) for the unscheduled visits. This is to avoid the possibility of missed messages which could result in interrupted care of my pets.

The Pet Nanny accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to my home during the term of this agreement. Pet care will be performed only by The Pet Nanny during all assignments unless prearranged with the client (i.e., in the event of company owner being unavailable, etc.)

The Pet Nanny is not liable and is completely indemnified for any and all liability stemming from the act(s) or failure to act of third parties, whether known or unknown, including but not limited to, friends, neighbors, relatives or other service persons, that shall enter my residence for any purpose while The Pet Nanny is caring for my pets.

I will notify The Pet Nanny ahead of time if there will be visitors in my home during my absence. The Pet Nanny will only perform basic required duties related to the pets when there are visitors in my home. This is for comfort and safety reasons.

Payment for services is due on or before the first day of scheduled visits performed by The Pet Nanny. Lack of payment may result in the interruption of service.

A 50% deposit is required when making holiday reservations. Clients who cancel at least one week prior to the first scheduled visit will receive credit to their account. Any less than one week notice and no credit will be applied.

There is a $5.00 surcharge per visit on holidays including but not limited to Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

A $10 late notice surcharge will apply to accepted visits with less than 6 hours notice.

A $5 per additional pet surcharge will apply to each visit when additional pets from outside of the home are present.

Payment is expected by or before the first scheduled visit.

Cash, check, and credit cards (3% convenience fee) are accepted.

AmEx not accepted.
